"In my spare time I go camping & Kayaking and I love spending time with my 5 fur babies, my dogs Taytum, Marley, Lexie. My cats Lucifer and Naya.

Nikki Kavanagh

Veterinary Nurse

Nikki commenced her journey in the veterinary industry at 15 years old where she worked in a clinic for 3 years on weekends & school holidays. After pursuing a different path at university, she worked to fund her travel & scuba diving obsession which is how she met her husband.  Several years on they have two little boys and a golden retriever, Finn (often referred to as their favourite child).  Nikki trained and worked as a veterinary nurse in Exmouth where, in addition to local pets and wildlife, she was able to combine her love of marine science with the job by caring for several juvenile green turtles.

After moving to Perth, Nikki completed the final components of her training just in time to see a job advertised at Sorrento Vet & the rest is history!

Claire Baker

Trainee Nurse

I have a special interest and background in caring for Australian wildlife and conservation projects. I love spending afternoons with my Rottweiler Bundy and my cat, a Rag Doll named Coco. I enjoy camping, 4x4 driving and being out in nature spotting for lizards.

I am training as a Vet Nurse and am honoured to be part of the Sorrento Animal Hospital Team.

Mildred Basil

Dr Basil is our clinic cat. She is very helpful with the stray kittens and the running of daily clinic routines. She is still a little shy but is becoming more adventurous by the day.

(Husband, handy man, I.T Specialist and back-office guy.)

Anton is the behind the scences guy trying his utmost to keep the moving parts well oiled. (Feels really weird talking about myself in the third person and typing this! ;-)
It is my dream and vision that Sorrento Animal Hospital will be a pleasure for clients, patients, and employees to be at.  We are working to provide a great service and improve on how and what we are offering on a daily basis.
