Rohan was born and raised in Wodonga, went to Melbourne uni for his vet studies and then spent four years at Mildura before returning to Albury -Wodonga at the end of 1995.
Rohan has worked at the Hume and Melrose Animal Hospitals since then. Rohan is a generalist and likes both the medicine and surgical sides of veterinary practice.
Outside of work Rohan has interest in all things nature, loves being outdoors, science in general, and most sports.
This year (2019) Rohan is trying cricket for the first time, for Baranduda, the same club as his younger son. Getting back into golf may be possible at some stage as well.
Rohan is married to Eliza and has two sons, Tom and Ben and has two dogs Molly and Lexi

Shin Yin graduated from Murdoch University, Perth in 2016. Since graduating, she has moved to Albury-Wodonga to join the team at Hume and Melrose Animal Hospital.
Shin Yin enjoys practising all aspects of Veterinary Medicine. She regularly developed her skills and knowledge through continuing education to consistently provide her patients and their owner with excellent veterinary care.

Dr Bernd Plathe

Bernd graduated from the University of Ondersteport, South Africa with a batchelor in veterinary science in 1999, having worked as a senior veterinarian surgeon and branch partner in the UK for the past 15 years. Bernd immigrated to Australia with his wife and three sons early in 2018. Bernd has been working in Queensland for the past 19 months before making the move to settle in Albury/Wodonga.
Bernd has a keen interest in surgeries especialy in the laparoscopic department, including- Laparoscopic desexings, gastopexy, bladder stone removal and liver biopsy. His other interests are in Orthopaedics including- Cruciate suregry, TPLO, DeAngelis, patella luxation and fracture repairs, just to name a few.
He is also a very caring person who is passionate about the happiness and welbeing of his fury patients.
Outside of work Bernd enjoys spending time with is family, 4x4s and camping and his dog Milo

Frances graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1991 and works at Melrose Animal Hospital one day a week. She enjoys the variety and challenge of general practice, and is passionate about making the trip to the vet as stress-free as possible for animals and their owners.
Frances lives in Yackandandah with her veterinarian husband. She has two teenage children, a new dog Miss Honey, a flock of geriatric Pekin Bantams, and a gentle stockhorse called Gem. She enjoys playing the ukulele with Uke-n-dandah, and helping to organise music and arts events in her role as president of Arts Yackandandah.

Suzanne graduated from Utrecht University in the Netherlands in 1999. After few years of practice in the Netherlands and travel moved to Australia in 2005 and has been working for Hume & Melrose Animal Hospital since 2006. Interest in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and rabbit medicine. My aim is to find effective solutions for your pet's health problems.

Jason graduated from the University of Sydney’s Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2019, during his studies he came to Albury-Wodonga twice as a student and have fallen in love with the team & the region.
Jason has a keen interest in natural science and would like to one day apply his veterinary trainings in helping wildlife and conservation. When not at work, Jason spends his time exploring anything and everything with his fur son Simba.

Kerrie has been with the Hume and Melrose Animal Hospitals since 1998. During her early years with us, Kerrie completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing while working as part of the team at Melrose Animal Hospital. As our hospitals have grown, she has moved from her role as a nurse, into her current position as Practice Manager of Melrose.
When she is not at work she enjoys reading, baking and spending time with her family.

Daisy has been a part of the Hume and Melrose Animal Hospital team since 2014 working as a kennel hand during school and went through her traineeship straight after. Since then, she has graduated from her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2019 and is looking forward to what the industry has in store for her.
She has a strong passion for ensuring the patients are comfortable and have plenty of TLC while they spend their time in hospital and likes to build good relationships with the clients so they know their pets are in the best of care.
Daisy enjoys assisting in surgeries such as Caesarians, routine desexings, lump removals and cruciate surgeries just to name a few. She believes in life long learning so she is constantly asking questions and thinking deeper into cases to broaden her knowledge.
In her spare time, Daisy is a keen netballer and loves to get out in the great outdoors waterskiing, camping and riding her horses.

Tegan joined our team in 2018 after moving from her hometown, Albany in Western Australia. Tegan qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2015 and has been working in the industry ever since. Her interests within the hospital include dentistry and surgical nursing. Outside of work hours, Tegan enjoys going fishing with partner and she is also a member with the North East Roller Derby League where she regularly competes in State Wide competitions.

Sami is a Certificate IV Veterinary nurse who recently completed her studies in 2019. She thoroughly enjoys working with animals and has since a young age. Throughout her schooling, she completed many hours in different animal facilities from Veterinary clinics, Pet Boarding and also spent some time at the Mansfield Zoo.
Over the past 5 - 6 years Sami has also become a wildlife carer. Possums and Wombats are her absolute favourite natives!

Tayla has always had a love for animals! Currently her fur family consists of 2 cats, a dog and a bird. ( No doubt the family will grow!)
Among animals, Tayla has other interests; Her love for dance saw her complete her Diploma of Dance in Melbourne where she lived for 5 years. She loves to travel overseas as much as possible and is a very family orientated person.
Currently completeing her Certificate II in Animal Studies, Tayla wishes to continue to pursue a career in Veterinary Nursing.

Shannon comes to us with a background in office management in a local primary school for 11 years. She has now been with Melrose Animal Hospital for 2 years and has recently completed her Certificate II in Animal Science.
Shannon is originally from Wangaratta but has called Wodonga home for the past 22 years. She is a wife and mum of 3 boys, 2 dogs, 1 cat and a cockatiel.
Shannon has a passion for animals, great and small and loves working in this industry, with a fantastic team at Melrose and Hume Animal Hospitals.

Her fur family comprises of 3 beautiful cats named Evie, Vedder and Polly.

Kaylene comes to us with a background in many different industries from, Event Management in Car racing to Sales at a car dealership and working in the beauty field as a Makeup Artist.
She has now been at Melrose Animal Hospital for 10 months and is currently completing her Certificate II in Animal Studies.
Kaylene is originally from Benalla but has called Wodonga home for the past 7 years.
She is partner to David, Mum to Stella and Fur Mum to her 3 cats, Olli, Mia and Molli.
Kaylene loves animals and enjoys working in this industry with the Fantastic teams at Melrose and Hume Animal Hospitals.

She is mum to her 2 beautiful children, and fur mum to her dog Luca, 4 cats Luna, Bella, Fish and Chairman meow.
Jen enjoys reading and listening to music in her spare time.
