Pet insurance is now standard in Australia for our pets. It offers you peace of mind as it covers some or all of the treatment costs if your pet was ever involved in an accident or suffers a sudden illness. There is no equivalent of Medicare for pets, thus often treatment costs exceed what an equivalent problem would cost for a human patient. What does pet insurance cover?
Individual packages vary in the type of treatment covered. However, they usually include most accidents and unexpected illnesses. You need to consider the differences between policies, in particular the claim excess amount, proportion of treatment costs covered, annual claim limit, age restrictions, pre-existing illness exclusions and policy costs.

Our goal is to assist you in processing your pets Insurance Claim as quickly and as easily as possible. It is important to remember that all Insurance providers process claims differently, so we are bound to submit claims by their rules. Some Insurers prefer for you to lodge online, some request that all claims are processed through us via either email or fax.
We want to do the hard work for you. That is why it is the MRVH Policy to not forward medical histories directly to our wonderful clients. Your pets medical history is full of Veterinary terminology, abbreviations and Vet jargon. When we process and submit your claim ourselves the Insurer will ring us directly if they have any questions about the claim. Previously when a client had lodged the claim with the full medical history attached the Insurer would ring the client with questions which could only be answered by us, (pertaining to medical terminology) thus slowing down the claim and lengthing the time between claim being recieved and the payout date.
Tips for lodging successfully
1. Fill in your Insurance Claim Form with you and your furbabies details.
2. Ensure your signature (if required) is on the form
3. Leave your completed form with the lovely Customer Care Team (Reception)
Email your completed form (signed) to email@example.com
4. Let us do the work for you by attaching reciepts, medical histories and then submitting your claim.
5. Sit back and wait for your Insurance money to come rolling in.
*If you are lodging online from home and the insurer requests a medical history to be attached just attach your scanned Invoice/Reciept and then the Insurer will contact us directly regarding the treatment history.
