WE ARE STILL OPEN: Locked Door Policy in Place

Things are changing hard and fast in Australia. So here is what we are doing to help protect you, your pets and ourselves from the ever-changing environment.

We are currently still open HOWEVER we have introduced a lock down policy. This means that our door is currently LOCKED, even though we are open. If you have need an appointment with us, need medications, pet food or help, please CALL US FIRST on 6351 3269.

If you have an appointment: When you arrive in the carpark, please wait in your car with your pet and call the clinic on 6351 3269 to let us know that you have arrived. When ready, the vet/nurse will come out and speak with you about your pet. Please respect the 1.5-2m social distancing rules. The Vet/Nurse will then take your pet into the clinic to perform any necessary treatments or procedures while you wait in the car. When finished, a nurse will bring your pet back out to you and complete the payment in the carpark.

If you need food/medications/treatments (flea, worming, etc): Please phone the clinic BEFORE driving in. If you can, please prepay for the items that you need over the phone with a card. This will help speed up the process when you come to collect. When you come to the clinic to pick up your items, please wait in your car and call us on 6351 3269 and a nurse will bring them out to you.

If you have an EMERGENCY: Please call the clinic on 6351 3269 and let us know what has happened so that we can prepare for your arrival. When you arrive, please call us to let us know you are here. A nurse will take your pet through to the vet while you wait in your car.

We are taking our hygiene very seriously. After each consultation, all surfaces, doors, computers, phones and our eftpos terminals are thoroughly disinfected, as well as our own hands. This is to control the risk of passing on anything from clients to staff, and also from client to client. These lockdown measures means that we can monitor who comes to the clinic and hopefully ensure that we stay open for you and your pets through this tough time.



Lithgow Veterinary Hospital has been providing veterinary care for the pets of Lithgow for more than 30 years. Recently we became a dedicated small animal only hospital. At Lithgow Veterinary Hospital, we will love your pets as much as you do. We are dedicated to providing you and your pet with a welcoming and stress free visit. If your pet needs to stay with us you can be guaranteed that they will be looked after like they were one of our own.  Our vets, Michelle and Gemma are dedicated to high level care for your pets. Our nurses Erin, Vanessa, Bronwyn, Abby, Kim and Aliza are amazing and can help you with anything you may need.

You and your pet you’ll be fully supported with professional advice about your pets health care. We know that helping our clients starts with providing a good understanding of health care issues and treatment options. With good advice and professional recommendations, you’ll be well equipped to make the best ongoing health care decisions for your pet.

With fully equipped examination rooms, diagnostic machines and highly trained staff,  we provide on-the-spot assistance for nearly all your pet health and medical needs. Lithgow Veterinary Hospital is equipped to treat your beloved small animals and offers a 24 hour emergency service. Our Veterinarians also do regular trips to Portland, Wallerawang and Hartley if you are unable to get your pet into the clinic. The "Purr Inn" is our cat boarding facility if you ever need to go away and leave your cat in safe hands. We stock and recommend Hills Science and Prescription food.
