Orthopaedic surgery encompasses any surgery that is related to bones or joints. It includes procedures such as fracture repairs, and ligament repairs.
Our veterinarian´s high level of expertise and our practice’s fully equipped surgical suite allow us to perform the orthopaedic surgical procedures that your pet may require.
- Cranial cruciate ligament surgery. We perform TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement) for large and active dogs with ruptured cruciate ligaments. For smaller dogs we use a lateral suture technique.
- Patellar luxation surgery with tibial crest transposition.

- Fracture repair with bone plates, external fixators or pins depending on the nature of the fracture Stabilisation of joint luxations such as carpal (wrist) and tarsal (ankle) injuries
- Limb amputation for severe injuries or some bone cancer.
All our surgery patients receive a high level of painrelief to ensure they are comfortable during and after the procedure.
Some complicated orthopaedic cases and spinal surgery, will need to be referred to a specialist orthopaedic surgeon. Our veterinarians will assess each case individually and provide the best advice for you and your pet.
