Dr Jeremy Watson

Veterinarian (BVSc(Hons)MANZCVS(SA surgery))

Jeremy grew up on a farm in NSW and moved to Melbourne to study Vet Science. After graduation in 1986 he worked in a number of small animal practices in Melbourne before establishing the Brimbank Veterinary Clinic in 1998. Jeremy and his partner Kim have 3 boys, and a terrier cross called Scottie.

Jeremy has a special interest in surgery and in 2013 became a member (by examination) of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists. Achieving membership means he can offer a large range of surgical procedures and also support our surgical team to ensure the best up to date standards are maintained.

Jeremy is also an academic associate of the University of Melbourne as part of the training programme for undergraduate veterinary students. Trainee veterinary students spend time at our hospital as part of their course to become vets.

Dr Darrell Gust

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Darrell grew up in Melbourne and graduated in Veterinary Science from the University of Melbourne in 1989. After initially working in dairy practice in Northern Victoria Darrell moved to England to work. He returned to Melbourne in 1996 and worked in small animal practice before joining the team at Brimbank Vet clinic in 2001. He is now a partner in the practice.

Darrell and his partner Heidi are kept busy with 3 young boys, Pablo the maltese cross dog, Tata the domestic cat, a frog, turtle and fish. Darrell enjoys camping, bush walking, running and following Geelong and Melbourne Victory in his spare time.

Dr Pam Gillis

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Pam completed several weeks of work placement at Brimbank Veterinary Clinic in 2004 while studying veterinary science at Melbourne University.

Pam graduated in 2005 and joined our team in September 2006.

Pam has a very excited German Short Haired Pointer named Jango and a Cavoodle named Bonnie.

Dr Lisa Di Vitto

Veterinarian (BVSc)

Lisa grew up in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and graduated in 2011 from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science.
As a student Lisa completed 5 weeks work experience at Brimbank Veterinary Clinic. Lisa joined our team in November 2012. Since then she has developed an interest in diagnostic imaging, she loves to use our new clinic ultrasound machine.
Lisa has an Maltese cross named Oliver who she adopted in 2015 from the Lost Dogs Home.

Dr Grace Hutchison

Veterinarian (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)

Grace grew up in Melbourne completed her veterinary degree at the University of Melbourne graduated in 2016.

During her degree, Grace undertook a wide range of placements travelling overseas to Europe, Hong Kong, Africa and New Zealand as well as completing several weeks at Brimbank Veterinary Clinic before joining our team at the end of 2016.

Grace has a special interest in wildlife and exotic pets and she has a very playful and talkative budgie named Oakley.

Merinda Quinn

Veterinary Nurse

Merinda started working at Brimbank Veterinary Clinic in 2016. She has been working as a veterinary nurse since 2010, and prior to that volunteered at Lort Smith Animal hospital as an animal attendant. Merinda has a dog named Ratchet, and two cats Leo and Lo (Little One). They were hand reared by her from two weeks old and they are her world. She is very happy to admit she is a crazy cat lady!

Maria Buenaventura

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse )

Maria started working at Brimbank Veterinary Clinic in 2016. She completed Certificate IV in veterinary nursing at Kangan Institute. She has also completed her Certificate III in Animal Studies, at Box Hill Institute in 2015. She has a cuddly Staffy X Kelpie named Bruce, that she adopted from Dindi Dog Rescue. Claude the domestic cat is her newest addition to her pet family. 

Tori Calleja

Trainee Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse )

Tori joined the Brimbank Vet team in 2017 as a Trainee Vet Nurse. She is currently studying a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and is loving training at the clinic. She cannot wait to be fully qualified. Tori is a proud dog mum of three energetic staffies named Kaizer, Gian and Marlee.

Jodie Gregory

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nurse )

Jodie started working at Brimbank Veterinary Clinic in 2010, she worked here for 4 years. After this time she moved over to work at an Emergency and Specalist clinic. She is back working with us full time using her skills she has gained along the way. Jodie has a bulldog named Bella.

Tahlia Thomson

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Tahlia started working at Brimbank in 2017. She started her Veterinary Nursing Certificate IV in 2018. She is looking forward to studying and becoming qualified. Tahlia has a cat named William.

Joanne Healey


Joanne is our Reception Manager. She joined our team in 2014. Joanne has extensive experience as a receptionist and as a personal assistant.

When she's not in the clinic answering the phones or greeting our clients, she's busy with her two kids and her feathered babies.

So come in and see her friendly face at the front of our clinic.

Mel Signorino


Mel is our afternoon receptionist she started working at Brimbank in 2017. Mel has come from a management background in retail but also worked as a medical receptionist. She is a proud Mum to 3 cats Aslan, Cleopatra and Missy. Mel also has 2 rabbits named Zoey and Neo who is named after Mel's favourite actor Keanu Reeves' character in The Matrix movie.

Brooke Crompton

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Brooke joined our team in 2019. She is currently completing her Certificate IV in veterinary nursing. Brooke loves all types of animals but she has a special interest in birds. She has a 2 year old cockatoo named Dusty.

Courtney West

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Courtney joined our team in 2019. She completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through Box Hill Institue in 2016.

She has one lazy Greyhound called Bruno, two crazy Whippets called Myles and Devo, and two sasy cats Mckagan and Me-Ow.

Lauren Kuseff

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Lauren joined the Brimbank team in 2019. She started working as a Veterinary Nurse in 2016 and completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2018. Outside of work she is kept busy by her energentic dog Ollie.

Julian Bakhurst

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Julian started at our clinic in 2019. He works part-time out the back of the clinic helping out the team, aswell as your pets when they are in for surgery. He has a kelpie named Honey and a cat named Mason.

Pamo Vidanagama

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Pamo is a university student who completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Melbourne in 2018.
She completed her Year 10 work experience at Brimbank Vet Clinic in 2013 and joined the team as a causal trainee vet nurse in 2017.
She has a cheeky toy poodle named Tanzy that the whole family loves to spoil.
