Dr. Rhys Erskine

Veterinarian

After graduating from Sydney University in 1993, Rhys worked in a busy 6 vet practice in Geelong, Vic before working in the Wollondilly Shire - filling some locum positions in Thirlmere, Camden, and Campbelltown. He then spent the next five years developing his skills and experience in practices in Manilla and Coffs Harbour in Northern NSW before being invited to open Burragorang Veterinary Clinic at The Oaks in 1999.  He was made partner in 2000, and took over full ownership in 2003, followed by opening Wollondilly Animal Hospital in 2005.

Rhys says "I knew that I was born to be a Vet by the time I was 10 or 11 years of age and count myself incredibly fortunate to have been able to make a living and raise a family doing what I love". He is passionate about improving the quality of life of his patients, ongoing professional development, growing and developing the team and giving back to the community. Rhys has been elected President or Secretary of three Australian Veterinary Association branches for multiple terms, and has served on the national AVA Policy Council. He is an active participant in the new graduate mentoring scheme to help new vets adjust to the demands of veterinary working life. In his limited spare time Rhys enjoys reading, cooking, cycling and skiing. Rhys and his wife Shelly have two adult children and now share their home with Millie the Jack Russell Terrier and their three cats.

Dr. Ophelia Pan

Veterinarian

Ophelia joined our team at Wollondilly Animal Hospital in February 2025, fresh off her graduation from Sydney University in December 2024. She’s thrilled to be a part of a supportive and fun team, and she really enjoys the warm, welcoming environment that our clinic provides. Ophelia is also a big fan of the Wollondilly area, and she loves meeting the wonderful clients and their pets while she’s at work.

Outside of the hospital, Ophelia is an avid gym-goer and spends her free time staying active. Whether she’s out bushwalking, camping, or getting her hands dirty in the garden, she’s always up for an adventure. She also loves going on spontaneous outings and trying new things whenever the opportunity arises! Although she’s passionate about animals (aside from flies!), Ophelia has a particular soft spot for our feline friends. Although Ophelia doesn’t currently have any pets of her own, there are plans of potentially adopting a cat in the near future!

Dr. Michelle Doré

Veterinarian

Michelle has been working as a Vet for over 30 years since graduating from Sydney University. She has a post graduate diploma in surgery but has become more and more interested in medicine as her career has progressed. Michelle also works educating Veterinary students in clinical practice and is passionate about continuing professional education.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys gardening and crafts including sewing and jewellery making. She is currently responsible for three cats, a dog and a fluctuating number of fish. Her husband and adult children are big enough to look after themselves now!
