Belinda Roberts

Veterinary Practice Manager (Life experience)

Belinda has always been surrounded by animals so we saw lots of her. She also saw enough of us to see that we desperately needed a professional financial manager! Belinda is the key to running our business as she allows us to get on with looking after animals rather than worrying about BAS’s etc.

She lives at Ocean Shores with her husband Scott, son Ollie and her Border Collies – Tilly and Panda, and Huck.

Belinda bought into the Practice in 2013 when Neil retired. Belinda enjoys ensuring staff are on an even keel and that everybody has their heads above water with a smile on their dials!

Belinda has extensive professional experience having worked in her own and many other businesses including several stints in the film industry alongside many heavies of the Australian big screen scene. Belinda is a deadly  expert book keeper, IT guru, HR manager, quilter, textiler and community volunteer extraordinaire.

And don't forget your receipts!

Megan

Receptionist (Bachelor of Psychology (Hons))

Megan grew up in the Barossa Valley, SA before moving to Adelaide to study a Bachelor of Psychology at Flinders Uni. After working for a few years in Adelaide in retail and then youth work, she headed overseas to live and travel through North America, Europe and Asia. She has now lived in the Byron shire for over two years and, of course, absolutely loves the area.

She has always had a passion for animal care, and has volunteered or worked with rescue centres and assistance animal organisations all over the world. The highlights include volunteering roles with a street dog rescue and vet treatment centre in Kathmandu, and with Seeing Eye Dogs Australia in Melbourne.

Megan has a lovely tortoiseshell cat and hopes to add a pooch to her furry family soon too!

Leannda

Receptionist (Cert III in Business Administration.)

Gorgeous (aka Gorgy)

Customer Service

Gorgy came to us after being hit by a car at only 6 months of age, and needed emergency surgery to repair her fractured hip. No-one claimed the injured kitten and the staff had already fallen in love with her, so it was unanimously decided that she join the team as our resident feline.

She spends most of her days curled up on the reception desk, greeting clients with a feisty tail flick and the occasional swipe if not patted properly - although she does seem to be mellowing in her old age! She also loves going for short walks and can often be seen soaking up the sun in the back or front gardens of the vet clinic.

Gorgeous has been 19 for 3 years now :)

Gorgy is a popular attraction of the clinic and is loved by all (even when she’s in a mood!)

Emma

Senior Vet Nurse (Cert. IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Having spent the early years liaising with us through the Animal Welfare League, we decided in 2006 that we needed Emma on our team and offered her the position of veterinary nurse. Her early years of looking after the health and well-being of our less fortunate animal friends has left her in good stead for her multifaceted role within the practice.

Hailing from the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney, Emma has always lived with a menagerie of animals along with her partner and two great kids. Her other talents include dress making, which she did professionally in Sydney for 10 years. This talent has also been used to great effect within the practice.

Emma has been an invaluable member of the team for over 10 years & is now our head Nurse.

Cassandra

Veterinary Nurse (Cert. IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Cassandra started as a Saturday morning volunteer and never missed a morning! So when a job as a Trainee Veterinary Nurse became available, the decision was easy. That was over 7 years ago now and Cass has become a key member of our team. Cassandra has a keen interest in anaesthetics and woud management.

When Cassandra isn’t in the clinic she is being kept busy by chasing her young son Arlan around.  She also enjoys fishing and loves all creatures finned and furry!

Shoallea

Veterinary Nurse (Cert. IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Shoallea moved to the Northern Rivers from her hometown of Grafton over 4 years ago to join the team at Mullum Vet. Shoallea enjoys organising community fundraisers such as the Pet Show at the Mullum Show and the Cupcake Day fundraiser for RSPCA. Shoallea has also volunteered with Animal Management in the Rural & Remote Indigenous Communities (AMRRIC) in the Pilbara, W.A. She is especially fond of "old man" dogs!

Shoallea is kept busy with her daughter Jazz, as well as pet sitting for various families in the Northern Rivers. She has recently completed her first part-marathon and enjoys bushwalking exploring the great outdoors.

Caitlin

Trainee Nurse

We first met Caitlin 3 years ago when her beloved Ollie was hit by a car. Ollie was in and out of the clinic needing treatment for months so we got to know Caitlin very well as she was by his bed side the whole time. We decided that we needed her on our team! Caitlin was offered a traineeship and we haven't looked back.

Caitlin is a local girl growing up on her family farm Goonengerry. When she is not at the clinic you can find her riding her horse Archie or chasing her dog Ollie.
