Rohan was born and raised in Wodonga, went to Melbourne University for his vet studies and then spent four years at Mildura before returning to Albury -Wodonga, at the end of 1995.
Rohan has worked at the Hume and Melrose Animal Hospitals since returning in 1995. Rohan is a generalist and likes both the medicine and surgical sides of veterinary practice.
Outside of work, Rohan has interest in all things nature, loves being outdoors, science in general, and enjoys most sports.
Last year Rohan tried cricket for the first time for Baranduda; the same club as his younger son. Getting back into golf may be possible at some stage as well.
Rohan is married to Eliza and has two sons; Tom and Ben and also has two dogs; Molly and Lexi

Bernd graduated from the University of Ondersteport, South Africa, with a Bachelor in Veterinary Science in 1999. Bernd has worked as a senior Veterinarian surgeon and branch partner in the UK for the past 15 years. Bernd immigrated to Australia with his wife and 3 sons early in 2018. He has been working in Queensland for the past 19 months, before making the move to settle in Albury/Wodonga.
Bernd has a keen interest in surgeries especially in the laparoscopic department, including- Laparoscopic desexings, Gastopexy, bladder stone removal and liver biopsy. His other interests are in Orthopaedics including- Cruciate surgery, TPLO, DeAngelis, Patella luxation and Fracture repairs, just to name a few.
He is also a very caring person who is passionate about the happiness and welbeing of his fury patients.
Outside of work Bernd enjoys spending time with his family, 4x4s and camping and his dog Milo.

Arthur has returned to the team after retiring from running both the Hume and Melrose Animal Hospitals since starting them both in the 1970s.
Arthur has been happily married to Julie for over 40 years and loves travelling. He has a daughter, Sarah, who is married to Mark and lives in Melbourne.
He has always enjoyed living in Albury/Wodonga and still loves meeting owners and treating their four legged children(their pets)..
Returning part time allows Doctor Arthur to help animals and enjoy working in our team, while relieving our full time veterinarians for some much deserved relaxation time.
His special interests include; advising owners regarding their pets problems, especially in their old age and the use of acupuncture for those cases not responding to conventional treatments, especially back problems.

Dr. Ingrid Huisman is a general practice, avian/exotic veterinarian who believes that all animals regardless of size or species should be treated with the care and compassion they deserve. Dr. Huisman has extensive experience with unusual pets including numerous birds (parrots, song birds, owls, raptors and eagles) and exotic patients (rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, rodents and reptiles) in emergency and general practice.
In 2014 she obtained post graduate Memberships by examination from the Australian/New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Avian Medicine and Surgery. She has recently moved to the Albury/Wodonga area from Townsville, QLD, where she lectured veterinary student and developed the avian/exotic and wildlife service at James Cook University Teaching Hospital.
Ingrid looks forward to joining the team at Hume and Melrose Amimal Hospitals.

Kerrie has been with the Hume and Melrose Animal Hospitals since 1998. During her early years with us, Kerrie completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing while working as part of the team at Hume and Melrose Animal Hospitals. As our hospitals have grown, she has moved from her role as a nurse, into her current position as Practice Manager of Hume and Melrose Animal Hospitals
When she is not at work she enjoys reading, baking and spending time with her family.

Kerrie has been a part of the Hume and Melrose Hospital teams for many years starting as a Kennel Nurse and going through to Nursing. After having children she became part time where her interests turned to stock control and purchasing for both of our hospitals.
Kerrie also enjoys Customer service and interacting with our clients and their fur babies. She loves the variety of interesting cases and the fact that no day is ever the same.
At home, Kerrie has a Border Collie cross called Boss, 2 cats called Luna and Bill, as well as a Granddog Miniature Dachshund called Lola, who visits her regularly.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling in Australia, gardening, spending time at the Weir in Summer and spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Amanda started with us as a casual employee before deciding to study her Veterinary Nursing, which has seen her progress through to her current position.
Amanda has a keen interest in all surgery cases that walk ( or get carried! ) through our doors. She loves interacting with both the patients and the clients and knows how important it is to make everyone feel comfortable in our care.

Paige started working at Hume Animal Hospital in 2015 where she completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Paige loves helping patients recover from an illness or surgery and seeing them return to their happy and healthy selves; as well as building a trusting relationship with their owners. Paige also has a special interest in Pathology.
In 2017 Paige travelled to South Africa where she volunteered at Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre, working with animals such as the White Rhino, Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, African Wild Dogs, Servals and Vultures!
At home, Paige has 2 rescue German Shorthair Pointer crosses - Darby and Hailey.

Michelle began working at Hume Animal Hospital in June 2016 where she started out as a Kennel attendant and has studied her way up and gained her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Michelle is a passionate nurse and always puts your pets wellbeing and needs first to ensure they are always comfortable and happy while in her care. Michelle loves the surgical side of nursing and assisting with all surgeries, especially caesareans and orthopedic surgeries.
Michelle loves being outdoors! She enjoys camping, 4WD and spending time with her family and friends. She also loves playing netball in her free time.

Amy started with us at Hume Animal Hospital in 2018 shortly after graduating from Murray High School, there of which, she completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies throughout her senior years.
Amy was born and raised in the Albury/Wodonga region and has always been passionate for animal health and wellbeing. After completing multiple work placements throughout high school with us, Amy began working at the Hume Animal Hospital in 2018 as a Kennel Attendant and began her traineeship in Veterinary Nursing in early 2019. Amy completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in August 2020.
Amy is our Puppy Preschool co-ordinator and looks forward to meeting all the new puppies. She loves all aspects of veterinary nursing and is currently enjoying being part of our laparoscopic surgery team.
When Amy is not here cuddling and caring for our patients, she spends much of her time with her fur family, consisting of her cat Sandler and her Labrador cross Kelpie, Sam. She enjoys taking Sam and her partner on many outdoor adventures around the region.

She has a property in the hills near the Hume Weir where she raises Beef cattle, breeds Peafowl and Light Sussex Chickens and has an assortment of furred and feathered friends.
Joelenes love for all creatures great and small led her to a position at the Hume Animal Hospital as a receptionist where she enjoys getting to know the amazing people of Albury/Wodonga and looking after their gorgeous fur babies.
