Happy healthy pets, let our veterinarians look after your pets.

Vaccination has revolutionised control of infectious disease in our pets. It is essential that all pets are adequately vaccinated to help protect the pet population as a whole. Responsible pet care requires kittens to be given their initial course of vaccinations, but this cannot protect them for the rest of their lives. Adult cats require regular vaccination to maintain immunity against disease.

Kitten Vaccination

Kittens are ‘temporarily’ protected against many diseases by antibodies received through their mother’s milk. These antibodies decline within the first few months of their lives. This is why a series of vaccinations is necessary for a kitten.

Adult Cat Vaccination

Over time, the immunity from kittens vaccination will weaken, and your precious pet can possibly become susceptible to disease. With Annual health checks and booster vaccinations as required, your pet will have the best protection for life.

After Vaccination Care

After any vaccination your cat may be a bit off-colour for a day or two, or may have some slight swelling or tendernss at the injection site. Access to food, water and a comfortable area to rest up is usually the best idea and all thatas required. However, in the case of a severe response to the vaccination, you should contact us for advice.

Please feel free to call us to discuss a suitable vaccination plan for your pet.
