Stephanie Lindeman

Veterinarian (Bachelor of Veterinary Science)

Having graduated from Sydney University too long ago than I care to remember, I spent two years working on the Central Coast, then a year travelling in Africa and Europe, doing some busy locum work in the UK.

On my return, I followed my heart (and now husband) to the beautiful Mid North Coast, working as a locum from Forster to Kempsey. Following the birth of my fist child, we made the naive decision to open a vet practice in 1999. Chaos reigned for the next decade or so, as my husband John and I had two more children, designed, built and and relocated the clinic to it's current location in Beach St. The children have pretty much been brought up in and around the clinic, and can be seen working here occasionally. I think it has put them off wanting to become vets. We also have 2 lazy cats, a chocolate Labrador called Errol (named after the lead singer of Hot Chocolate) and a naughty Ridgeback cross called Indi.

It has been a very challenging time since we opened the clininc, but we are proud of the family run and owned business it has become, and proud to be part of such a wonderful community.

Karen Hanlon

Veterinarian (Bachelor of Veterinary Science)

I grew up in Zimbabwe and graduated from the University of Zimbabwe in 2002. During my years as a student I was lucky to see occasional sick wildlife, including an elephant with rabies but most of my experience was with regular dogs, cats and farm animals!  After a short stint of working in Zimbabwe I moved to Sydney with my Australian husband. The  first addition to our family was "Sabi"  our beloved Golden Retriever, who is now getting on in years but still very puppyish in many ways. We initially lived in Sydney and I worked as a small animal veterinarian full-time until we had our beautiful daughter and some time later her cheeky and very cute little brother. In 2013, seeking a quieter, country life, we made the move to the beautiful Mid North Coast where we have continued to add to our family with some chickens and a black rabbit, imaginatively named "Peter Rabbit" by our son. I have worked at Bonny Hills Veterinary Clinic part-time since the middle of 2014. I enjoy all aspects of small animal medicine and surgery and especially enjoy ongoing care of my patients and working with their owners towards the best possible outcome for their pet.

Tammy Mulholland

Veterinarian (Bachelor of Veterinary Science)

Growing up on a sheep and cattle farm in Central West NSW my appreciation and love of all species of animals began early!  Graduating from Murdoch Uni in 2006 I started my career as a small animal veterinarian on the sunny northern beaches of Perth, I also spent time working in the slightly cooler location of Myrtleford in the Victorian Alps.  I’ve had a quite a varied career, from working as a small animal vet in private practice, a government vet for the DPI, to lecturing Animal Science in Scotland.  After spending some time living in Europe I moved back to Australia in 2017 with my husband, 6 year old son and his 1 year old twin brothers!

We feel so lucky to be living in beautiful Bonny Hills, and I'm looking forward to meeting more of the lovely locals, and working towards ensuring their gorgeous furry family members remain healthy!

Cheranne Garcia

Veterinary Nurse (Cert II in Animal Studies, Cert III Business Admin, Cert IV Veterinary Nurse, Diploma in Management)

I joined the team at the Bonny Hills Vet Clinic in 2009 and have completed the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing,  as well as completing a Diploma in Management.   I have previously worked in an animal park working closing with Koalas for a number of years before moving up to the Camden Haven with my Husband and three sons in December 2006.  I have three loved cats, one female we got from the RSPCA  called "Tashi" and "Mooshie" a male was brought into the clinic as a stray kitten (only about 8 weeks old), and a male ginger cat of course called "Ginge" who appeared from the bush behind our house and after a bit of time came closer and closer to now living with us.  I love the Nursing and Medical side of the job, along with the time I get to spend with the animals.  I also enjoy the contact I have with the owners and seeing the love they have for their pets.

Phebe Lockhart

Veterinary Nurse (Cert IIAnimal Studies, Cert IV Veterinary Nurse)

I started at Bonny Hills Vet Clinic in 2013 While I was still studying for my Veterinary Nursing Certificate and I've been here ever since. I absolutely love my job, The long term clients are so friendly and I'm so in love with all their pets.  During my time studying I was lucky enough to do some work experience at the RSPCA, Billabong Zoo, Wauchope Vets, East Port Veterinary Hostpital and Tamworth Greencross Vets. In the near future I hope to travel to do some volunteering with animals in developing countries.

Kelly Whalan

Veterinary Nurse (Currently studying Cert IV Veterinary Nursing)

After leaving school I've had a long career in Accountancy which I did enjoy however felt it was time for a change.  Given my love of my two dogs Rowdy a German Shephard and Millie a Golden Retriever, I found myself interested in Veterinary Nursing.  I was lucky enough to be able to obtain work experience at the vet that has been caring for my animals over the last 15 years, so was able to enrol in the Cert IV Veterinary Nursing late 2017.  My main interest is being able to assist and being involved in the diagnosis of cases.  I'm looking forward to continuing my studies and career with the Bonny Hills Vet.

Deb joined our growing clinic in 2020, during the COVID era. She has come from a variety of different jobs including being a sales rep, and working in a florist shop. She enjoys sailing and surfing, and getting about with her dog Gabbie, so is fast becoming a very present member of the community. She is the first point of contact in the clinic, spending her time at the front counter, and answering the phone.
