Developing a love for animals at a young age Laura has always had too many pets to count. Throughout high school she volunteered as a wildlife carer rescuing animals such as koalas and kangaroos. Studying at Melbourne university Laura has worked in clinics in Sunshine, Pt Cook and Geelong before settling at Vet 2 Pet. She prefers the mobile nature of the work as she gets to meet people and see pets in their home environment. She feels this gives her an edge in treating many common conditions, such as skin disease, where environment is a factor.
Laura has a particular interest in working with wildlife and reptiles and even has a few pythons as pets. She still works with Tarniet based wildlife park 'Totally Native' from time to time with recent cases including a kangaroo with tetanus and a joey with a bee sting.
Graduating from Melbourne University in 1980, Sally worked for 5 years in Melbourne then spent several years on a working holiday in Europe. Upon return to Australia she worked at various clinics and even ran her own practice for 16 years. She accidentally became involved with reptile medicine and has developed an interest in unusual critters and is seeing more bird patients too. She has a special interest in companion animal eye diseases & soft tissue surgery. Sally has a wide range of extra curricular interests including cooking, singing, dancing & gardening. She has a very relaxed & gentle pet python.
