OUR VISION is "to be the best small animal general practice in South Western Sydney".

We thank each and every client for attending our Veterinary Practice. At our Veterinary Hospital we try to maintain a friendly relationship with our clients and we welcome any queries regarding our services or questions regarding your pets.

History of the Hospital

The Bankstown Veterinary Hospital was established in 1948 at its current location – the original building was erected by John Buckingham, a Sydney University graduate. His family home was located at 16 Marshall Street. In 1962 he sold the practice to George Pulver & Warwick Handel who owned and ran the business until the current ownership. The present owners, Dr Jennifer Myers & Dr David Butcher acquired the practice in 1993 making 2011 the 18th year of ownership by the current owners. After Jenny & David bought Bankstown Veterinary Hospital they renovated the building to its current state and proceeded to run a growing and successful Veterinary Hospital.

After owning Bankstown Veterinary Hospital for nearly ten years, Jenny & David decided it was time to expand their partnership. The opportunity arose to take ownership of Boundary Road Veterinary Hospital in Peakhurst in early 2002. Boundary Road Veterinary Hospital was established in 1997 by the original owners, and had already changed hands more than once since originally opening, leading up to 2002. Jenny and David decided to go ahead with this new venture and acquired ownership of Boundary Road Veterinary Hospital in April 2002, making 2011 its 9th year of ownership by the current owners.

Both businesses have continued to provide care to their clients & patients because of the dedication of the owners & the support of their staff.

Aims of BVH & BRVH

The aims of Bankstown & Boundary Road Veterinary Hospitals is to be the “best companion animal practice we can be”. To reach this goal we strive to provide your pets with the best care that can be provided. To help us achieve this aim of providing the best care, we have a policy of our staff attending continuing education courses and seminars to keep up-to-date with changes, as well as upgrades and addition of equipment in the Hospitals.

We strongly recommend preventative medicine for pets of all ages and hope to foster responsible pet ownership by doing so.
